A Binomial Model Approach: Comparing the R0 Values of SARS-CoV-2 rRT-PCR Data from Laboratories across Northern Cyprus

Northern Cyprus has implemented relatively strict measures in the battle against outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The were introduced at beginning COVID-19 pandemic, order to prevent spread disease. One these was use two separate real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) tests for SARS-CoV-2 referred as double screening procedure, which adopted following re-opening sea, air and land borders passengers after first lockdown. rRT-PCR procedure involved reporting a negative test carried 72 120 h before departure whilst presenting no known symptoms performing second point arrival. This study compares results performed on incoming flight from 1 July 9 September 2020 Cyprus. collected by Near East University (NEU) DESAM laboratory compared with Ministry Health and/or private laboratories comparative conducted using binomial distribution.
